WEKO is a german manufacturer of innovative and contact-free minimal application systems for fluid and powdery substances.
For fluid applications WEKO developed and manufacture unique rotor-spray technology systems to combine a more sustainable and high precise process with cost-saving production.
Especially for the wood and straw panel board production WEKO offers contact-free and high precision band and mat moistening systems. Typically the water is mixed with an release agent to avoid press stops on the 24/7 continuous running panel board presses for MDF, HDF, CB/PB and OSB.
The precise moisture applications which allows setting steps of +/- 0,1ml/m² combined with a high performance dosing system for release agents spends a lot of benefits to the press productivity and board quality.
As no spray nozzles are involved which has to be exchanged and/or often maintained the system offers a very low cost of ownership.

The innovative rotor spray technology enables an easy operation with high precision in 24/7 production lines and a low cost of ownership. Water- or oil-based liquids can be applied in an uncomplicated and contact-free manner. The rotors are individually supplied with the desired amount of liquid via specially designed throttles and a frequency-controlled pump. The constant rotor speed divides the liquid at the rotor edge by centrifugal force into uniform micro-droplets.
WEKO-FlowTec
The WEKO-FlowTec fluid supply system is designed for 24/7 requirements with high environmental loads such as in the wood industry. It contains a state-of-the-art, full automatic belt filter unit for trouble-free operation. A special pressure equalization system can work with low or fluctuating water inlet pressures for automatic refilling and dosing still from 0.1 bar. The system has a SIEMENS PLC control and could be fully integrated in your machine control via Profinet/Profibus and TIA-Portal.
